Spectacular discoveries this month from records sent to us from Father Hudson's, who kept the orphanage where grandpa and his brothers were sent in 1906/7. Not only do we have more detailed data of dates, but original letters from his mother giving us a idea of what she went through -- very poignant! What's more, we discovered she had remarried! Totally new information.

I am working on expansion of the Gradwell line from my grandfather's parents and siblings known to be in Birmingham around 1904. Also working as a volunteer to transcribe the 1861 census for Birmingham.

I've had some generous help from others on a Birmingham genealogy discussion list. Several searchers are from Australia or New Zealand.
