Oh I was thinking of you watching the news last night...they showed people in OZ taking in the eclipse...so it made the news half way round the world!!! Glad you're having such a good time. Sun is shining today...although -2 this morning when I took Nikki for her morning walk.
Hugs.

Interesting observation about life before the Internet. Coincidentally, I have recently been having similar thoughts, thinking about life with less connectivity. You appear to have struck a very good balance, with activities such as knitting, hiking, and photographing. A couple of recently published books offer insights about the digital world in which we live. If you have not read them, you might find them interesting.

I was just thanking the strange decision I made in Grade 12 or 13 to take the Commercial option programme offered at my high school. Office work was not in my radar at all, indeed I tended to look down my nose at those who aspired to it as a career. I am so grateful for that training. I can touch type and who knew how important that was going to be in the computer age all those years ago? And I did end up working as a secretary in my later years and loved it!

Beautiful entry and a good reminder that we should all be thankful for whatever we do have. Capture the moment, make the most of each day, and appreciate each sight and sound, each smell and touch. There is so much to enjoy!
