Flying Should Be Easy
Bob spent some time at the Toronto Zoo on Saturday, checking out several of those who don't have to worry about carry-on baggage when they fly. Of course, many of these beauties aren't encouraged to fly too far. I think the new baggage restrictions for people may not be such a bad thing (apart from their value as a safety measure). It got pretty ridiculous when I flew to Washington last month for those of us trying to get by with carry-on bags only. As it was a small plane, we were forced to hand over one of our allowed two bags as we boarded, so that they could be stashed in the hold with the checked bags. Now it's just checked bags or nothing. I'll miss my iPod for the long wait before boarding when I fly out today, but I'll get by with a paperback and bonus time to meditate on life, the universe, and everything.
